Case Management Exercise - Cannot create Case Type
I've had my share of troubles with Internet Explorer, but was doing well with Firefox. With Internet Explorer, certain GUI elements were just unresponsive. With Firefox they work, but popups and context menus dance all over the place. Only mentioning in case something is displaying OFF the screen and I don't know abou it.
So I'm trying to create "Evaluate Employee" case. I have created a branch for the exercise and a branch ruleset for LP7. Now when I try to create case from Case Manager, I get the following error.
No unlocked RuleSet Version is available to create or update Rule-Obj-Class .
Huh? I've been doing all exercise just this way. Making sure only my exercise branch is in my application and have not been having any issues. However when creating Case Type I am. Is it because it is non-versioned object? What am I missing?
The errors messages are not coming through properly, however the error "No Unlocked RuleSet" means that you are attempting to create a rule in a RuleSet that is locked or you do not have permission to access. When you create a new rule make sure that the "Add to RuleSet" shows your unlocked RuleSet.
I think my problem is the changed UI for Pega 7. When I'm creating branch I'm selecting LP7 as ruleset. It does not show me major/minor version. However I assumed it was creating one automatically behind the scenes since I never got an error before and it obviously wouldn't be locked on creation. Because I do not get any error when I'm creating any other rule.
Where do I go and create rule versions so I can make sure I have an unlocked ruleset?
Go to DesignerStudio > Application > Structure > RuleSet Stack this will give you a list of all the RuleSet's in your current Application. Simply select a RuleSet to see and edit the list of RuleSet Versions for each.
Thanks Henry. Needless to say I couldn't unlock LP7:01-01-01 since I don't have the password. So I tried to save as LP7:01-01-02 and when I click "Create and Open" it gives me error message
To create a new version of the ruleset, select a version row, right click to access a context menu, and select Save As
Not making any sense. It would still be nice to know why exactly I'm having this issue with this particular exercise only. The instructions said to use a branch for each exercise. I have done so and it is showing unlocked and at the top of my ruleset stack. I didn't have this problem for any other exercise.
