Cassandra for My application
Our architect people decided to use Casandra Data instead of Oracle. Where PEGA JVM installed generally we use oracle DB or any DB which PEGA supports. I have gone through installation guide for PEGA. Their I have seen various DB’s like oracle, IBM DB2, post gre Db etc.. and I didn’t see any Bigdata support (Hadoop and Cassandra). Plz any one of you clarify me is Cassandra supported for PEGA or not. Can we save PEGA RULES data to Cassandra.
Thank you for your query. The release notes and deployment guides https://pdn.pega.com/resources/deployment-guides clearly state which databases types are supported for the PegaRULES database - Oracle, DB2 (LUW and z/OS), SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Your Pega applications may also access data held in enterprise systems external to the PegaRULES database, which may include the database types listed above or other types as well.
Can you please point us to how Cassandra can be used with Pega. Currently there are only documentation available on how to configure Connect-Cassandta rules but not on how casandra can really be used in Pega. Also it will be great if this could be from a decisioning prespective.

Cassandra is used as a database to store/hold information. The connector allows PEGA to read that information from the database. It is an integration. Connect-Cassandra facilitates the integration to access a Cassandra database.
