The new certification exam for Pega NBAM on 7.1 has just been released and is called: Certified Pega Marketing Consultant 7.1 Certification Exam (CPMC). 

The Certified Pega Marketing Consultant Exam has been developed for students who wish to be acknowledge for their Pega Decision Management and Pega Marketing skills.   

When a Pega professional participates in the design and development of a Pega Decision Management or a Pega Marketing solution there are fundamental, essential skills and knowledge areas that must be applied to ensure success. 

Candidates are tested on their:

• Ability to understand Decisioning, Next-Best-Action, and Predictive Analytics
• Ability to understand and apply design principles of Decision Strategies
• Ability to understand and design a Marketing Program and its related artifacts
• Ability to understand and apply design principles of Next-Best-Action Advisor

The learning path for CPMC 7.1 consists of the following courses:

• Pega Decision Management Essentials (7.1) course – 2 days
• Pega Marketing Essentials (7.1) course – 3 days

In 6.3, there were 2 NBA related certifications - CNC and CSNC. In 7, is there only 1?

So if someone is a certified CNC in 6.3, will he/she will be equivalent to CPMC in 7?

That is correct, there is 1 NBA certification for Pega 7. If someone is certified CNC in 6.3, that certification will remain valid, but it is NOT the same certification as CPMC, simply because the CPMC certification is on Pega 7 (a different version of the software).
