I understand that web-login HTML rule can be customised to brand default login page. However, what I'd like to do is to use a page from company portal (non-pega) and just embed the login form into it, which eventually uses the same mechanism to login as used by Pega web-login page.
How can I achieve this. I was thinking on the lines of either showing up the Pega Login page in an iframe in the company protal page -or- using IAC to show the login page somehow (not sure, if that possible).
using an iframe will work and will avoid the same origin policy problem but it means that the portal will also display inside the iframe. It also means that you are using the Pega7 internal authentication for all your users
Another option would be to isolate header/ footer and delegate them to an external url (using an iframe) and use a css file and images served by your company portal
In a typical deployment, the login page is served by an external SSO gateway and authentication is done through SAML v2. this allows to have a consistent login page for all applications
