IE11, internet explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 working with Pega 7 edit in excel feature.
At the time of this writing this is aparently unsupported (search PDN and there will be a PDF from Pega about this).
At the time of this writing I searched PDN and did not obtain much information about how to make this work (even if unsuppported). All I read was: use emulation mode.
Some colleagues asked me to perform some changes that did not work and involved adding sites such as pegacloud to compatibility view settings.
Eventually what worked for me (let me know if it works for you) was:
1. Compatibility view settings: all boxes empty, all checkboxes unchecked.
2. Press F12 and go to Emulation. Select Document Mode 8, browser profile desktop, user agent string internet explorer 8.
THen you can go and click edit in excell and it works.
I just retried without any F12 emulation (that is in reset mode which is available as a reset button at the top or simply select defaults).
And it worked with "edit in Excel" functionality for decision tables.
So I am not sure what made it work. Maybe you can help clarifying? I know it works now with just the setting 1 above Compatibility view settings, that is without setting 2 emulation!
I have a hypothesis that the add-on that this page with "edit-in-excel" funtionality offers is only installed after a few retries with settings 1 and 2 above and clicking install add-on.
Then after the add-on installed properly it simply works even without emulation.
But again I would be interested to know if somebody that does not have it working can try 1 and have it working, or then can try 1 and 2 (installing the add-on) and have it working and document here.
