Inboundemail service exercise issue
In the Inboundemail service - Design and Configuration exercise , the following scenario is explained - "when Emails can be used for work processing in situations where a decision is required, such as the manager review in the purchase request flow where the manager can either approve or reject the purchase request."
The email to the manager does contain two links, one for each flow action and the group manager can reply by clicking one of the flow action links in the email.At this step the work item should automatically get processed according to the flow action.
However whats happening with the provided solution is that the work item does not get processed and stays at the review assignment , Also a new purchase request gets created for the email thats sent to the inbound mail email account when manager clicks a flow action link.
Does anybody have some inputs on this issue.Thanks.
Have you tried tracing the Email Serivce? Are there any messages in the logs? Have you checked the Email Service configuration? Out of curiosity, what type of Email Account are you using? Does the Email Service's Service Package Access Group look correct?
Yes I did trace the service - the pycreateandmanageworkfromemail activity is executed fine, however it jumps from step 12 to step 37 (CRT block).Also I noticed that when manager clicks on the link in the email (say Approve link) - the email subject is blank...this maybe the issue.
I'm trying to replicate whats in the lesson , so Email service configuration is as required , LES-FW-PIPFW-Work notify type email account and service package access group is also fine - PIPFW:Administrators.
