KYC installation to a host(server) having prior installation of NBFS, NBAM, NBAA & NBAFS
I have an installation of New Business for Financial Services (NBFS), Next Best Action Marketing (NBAM), Next Best Action Advisor (NBAA) and Next Best Action for Financial Services (NBAFS) on one host (sever). Can anyone please let me know if I can go ahead and install Know Your Customer (KYC) to the same host or not?
1. Can NBFS and KYC be installed together on a single host?
2. Can NBA (NBAM, NBAA, NBAFS) and KYC be installed together on a single host?
The latest version of Next-Best-Action Marketing exposes some Pega7 properties (for example, pyDescription) which may cause installation-time errors with other applications. You may see an error message stating that the column pyDescription is not wide enough. If you face this issue please just increase the column width in the database. This will solve the problem.
Other than this I am not aware of any issues that would prevent you from installing all these applications on one host.
KYC v7.12 can be installed on the same instance if it is expected to act as only a stand alone application with KYC cases being initiated via FCM or service.
However, If you are planning to have KYC interact with another Pega-based system by injecting the KYC processing right into the stages and steps of another application (which is perferred method due to simplicity of design), then it is strongly advised to use KYC v7.13. for Pega 7.1.7 This version of KYC is much better suited for this becasue the 'engine' is in a distinct application (PegaKYC) that can be layered into another system while the KYC sample layer (PegaKYCFS) is built right on FSIF and can be either re-used or discarded. This architecture does not exist in v7.12 - the 2 layers are tightly bound together.
