Purpose of the survey
This survey helps Pega identify users deploying Pega Platform versions with Android push (using GCM services). Knowing which Pega Platform versions are deployed to use Android push with GCM services, Pega can develop hotfixes for those Pega Platform versions.
Pega will most likely provide the Pega Platform hotfixes in early 2019.
The hotfixes for the required Pega Platform will migrate to using Google FCM services. There will be a hotfix for the Pega platform as well as a new mobile client, so your mobile app will need to be rebuilt.
Users who plan to upgrade the Pega platform release that will occur in early 2019 will not need to apply a Pega Platform hotfix.
Users who cannot upgrade in early 2019 will need to apply the Pega hotfixes for the version of the Pega Platform that they are using.
In both cases, Pega mobile apps will need to be rebuilt because there will be client-side ripple effects. The client-side ripple effects will occur whether you are applying a Pega hotfix or upgrading your Android apps to use FCM services.
