Pega Virtual Server vs Pega 7.1.9 Standalone Installation
Dear folk,
I would like to know, if there are, and what's are the main differences in terms of provided features, capabilities, accessibility....if
I use a a PVS installation vs a Pega 7.1.9 Licenced software.
For example, PVS is bundle with Ubutu and without an OS root user.
I'm attempting to set up a Pega environment from scratch, where I would have full control on the OS and Pega infrastructure layer and related components.
What do you suggest?
Thanks
Massi
The PVS does indeed have a OS root user. The user is "root" and the password is "password"
The PVS (Personal Virtual Server) is produced by Pega Academy and provides an easy-to-use Pega 7 environment for training purposes. However, it is still a virtual machine, so you do have "full control" on the OS and the Pega 7 infrastructure, and the configuration of the vm such as RAM allocation, hard disk size, network configuration, etc.
