SOAP Service Flow Type
Working on the "Create a SOAP Service" exercise, I used the "Create and manage work" option, but quickly tripped over the selection of the Flow Type. What's the exact meaning of this dropdown box in regards to the Service Wizard aka Service Accelerator?
Do I need to pick pyStartCase? In general or for this exercise? I would also expect my CreateEmployeeRecord process flow here to make this truly convenient.
The SSA course itself only goes into the "Invoke existing activity rule" option of this wizard, so the impact of the various choices once you go down a different part are not all that clear to me.
I'm familiar with SOAP and various types of technical integration, but what part of the development process is actually automated behind the scenes when using this wizard?
Hi Edgar
The objective of this exercise is to create an Onboarding case. You correctly choose the option to "Create and Manage work". The next drop down asks for the starting flow for the Onboarding case. This can be found by looking at the Case Type rule for Onboarding, the starting process is set to "pyStartCase".
The wizard will create the SOAP Service Rule, Service Package Rule and Mapping Rules.
If you would like more help with this exercise then please PM me your email address and I can send you an exercise guidance sheet.
