Hi @WendyV33 - would you see this applying to all articles or a group of articles (like for a content type) ? You suggest this would be an article level addition, however what controls who adds this? If an author can bypass the approval process that would not be a good process.
Also, how do you see this working? Is this a parallel approval (for example to the approver or publisher) or is this something that would be done before or after they approve?
@carsj the use case would be as follows. Check box to be available for when the Author is creating the article they can check the box for an "additional approver" to verify, therefor the article would have to be approved by 2 approvers then go to the publisher to publish. This check box should not be mandatory, but available for all to use on the article creation screen. This will provide an extra layer of approval items that may be restricted.
Check Box to read: Does this article require an additional level of approval
I am considering an advanced approval feature and haven't quite finished all the requirements for it yet so maybe this falls under it.
Maybe we could add intelligence into the product to take the decision away from the person doing the update. While I understand your use-case is fine other companies may not want the author having the ability to uncheck the box and bypass the additional approval.
Would you think that there could be a category (or maybe a tag) that if added to an article would force an alternate approval process? We kind of have this today associated to the categories (but it's not a multi-approver style) and that's something I have had other requests to change.
