Hi , we are currently using PEGA version 6.3 SP1. In security settings, when you enable authentication penalty, system imposes a delay when it exceeds maximum attempts. Instead of delay, is it possible to display a customized error message indicating "your account is locked , try after xx seconds" ?

Do let us know if you wish to create an enhancement request to the product. We can create one on your behalf on our internal portal. However, you would have to take it further with your Pega account executive.

Regarding obtaining a hotfix for the same - You will have to create an SR with Pega Support so that they are able to investigate further and provide an analysis to you. In case you do create an SR for this, mention the URL to this discussion while creating the SR and let us know the SR # back here so that we can continue to track it through this post.
