Customers often want to have a search experience on archived cases similar to what they see for online cases. Typically applications have an advanced search mechanism where multiple results are returned based on certain search parameters.
Currently the archived search APIs allow to search on various parameters, but the results displayed do not contain custom properties, which makes it hard for the users to identify the desired case (can't bank on remembering the case id).
If they can be improved to accept custom parameters and return custom properties, then this will meet most business requirements.
Adding an attachment which indicates a hybrid approach adopted, due to the absence of such an API.
