We observed an issue while we're adding a condition in a when rule. In the condition dialog there are no validations for entering the value or choosing the operator according to the data type of the chosen property. When the condition is submitted and the when rule is saved, we get no errors for entering a text value for an integer type property. This caused some trouble in the application and it was quite difficult to debug. It would be pretty helpful if at least an error is received when trying to save the when rule for example if a text value is entered for a property of integer or decimal type.

Thank you for posting your product enhancement to the Product Support Community. I have gone ahead and submitted this on your behalf and updated the Feedback ID in your original post. Please take that Feedback ID to your Account Executive for next steps.
Could you please be more specific on performance concerns? Why would having a validation have such an adverse impact on performance? All the data that is required to make this validation is already loaded i.e. available in the clipboard. We appreciate if you can provide more insight.
