Maryrita Styer | Digital Product Manager, Collaboration Center
First of all, thanks Maryrita for asking the feedback to improve the Collaboration center section from the community site. I have noticed that there are some old links which are mentioned in the questions section are broken and are showing with file not found errs. Not sure whether they come under blocked content or they are only accessible by Pega employees. I have a suggestion on Suggestions/Questions where we can have an option to Download the content in PDF format. This option would be just like we see in reading the article from the community site. Here is a sample screenshot attached to understand better on what I am asking. We never know like there are some interesting Suggestions/Questions which are required to save it in PDF rather than copying the link & note them in favorites. Just a thought from my side but not sure how much added value to the Pega community.

Thanks so much for taking the time to attend our feedback meeting, your thoughts and suggestions are important to help us grow the Collaboration Center. I will take a look at the broken links you have encountered and get them resolved. In addition, your thoughts about viewing post threads in PDF form is noted and we will investigate the value add for the Collaboration Center. Do you happen to have any examples of other forum sites that currently have this thread to PDF download feature?
Thanks for the insights into the Collaboration Center yesterday.
I would like to share a couple of issues/thoughts that I experienced whilst using the Collaboration Center:
It would be nice to have a "Go back to search results" feature. I opened a question and clicked on 'Related Content' articles quite a few times - and it wasn't easy to return to my original search results with the filters applied. In the end, I had to start my search and filter again.
The "Related support article" added beneath the question does not always make sense. Sometimes it looks to be a related Support Request number, and sometimes it repeats the subject of the current question being asked, etc. What is the purpose of this information?
If it is a related Support Request number, would the Question get marked solved once the SR is solved? Does the solution get shared to the Collaboration Center post?
Thank you for taking the time to attend the feedback session and for providing your thoughts on the Collaboration Center functionality.
To your first point, I agree, a way to return to your search results without having to apply your initial search filters again is a nice enhancement. We will take a closer look at this and consult with our dev team on the best approach.
To your second point, currently, the Collaboration Center is not integrated with My Support Portal although we will be looking into this in 2021. The Support request ID field allows users, who already have a Support Request open, to add the number. This helps our Moderators identify that a request has already been opened on the question. As for accepted solutions, we encourage the author of the post to revisit their question and supply the answer once their SR is resolved. Our Moderators also keep track of this and will provide the answer if available.
As a regular contributor to the collaboration center, I felt the below features might be helpful for the community.
Notifications feature inside the collaboration center: It would be great if the collaboration center had a notification icon in the header bar, which on click of it, I can see all the notifications (Someone replied, Found useful, etc.,). Currently, we can able to manage only through email notifications which becomes hard to track multiple discussions.
Ability to Sort answers: We can have a feature below the question, to sort the answers based on the Oldest, number of Found useful, etc. This feature will be helpful for users while searching for answers in a big thread which don't have a solved answer.
@duraisankar Thank you for this valuable feedback. We currently have a notification icon on our backlog as we also feel it would be helpful and falls in line nicely with other forum functionality. Stay tuned for that. The sorting of answers is also in our view and we appreciate the feedback!
