2 validation messages for a single property

Hello,

I have 2 validation messages for a lastname property I want to be displayed at the same time if both conditions are met. The problem I  am encountering is when I have 2 validations for the same property they are displaying on a single line rather than 2 distinct error messages.

Validation 1 " If (lastName does not start with Alpha character) return errorMessage1)"

Validation 2 " If (lastName contains special characters) return errrorMessage2)"

The messages are displaying like so:

(*) errorMessage1. errorMessage2

I want them to display seperately as 2 different error messages:

(*) errorMessage1

(*) errorMessage2

Any ideas on what causes this behaviour and how I can change it?

Running PEGA 7.1.7
