In PEGA 722 we are planning to change extractedFiles directory to some other place in Linux servers (example location cd /app/projectrelated/temp) location.
and we have created that directory in servers and created JVM argument in Websphere (under Middile ware server> servername >Process definition > Java Virtual Machine > Custom properties). and directory has sufficient privileges to read also.
after above setting were made, we stopped servers and brought up the server. but extractedFiles directory location is something else not mentioned above..
FYI : I know that it will work in PEGA 717 because we did same settings and other environments are working fine and extractedFiles location also as per setting (as per location) in 717 servers.
This is I noticed for 722 servers after update from 717.
So question is - in 722 can we able to change this location, if yes is there any other settings need to be done ?
I am assuming that the issue you are facing is related to Pega Temp directory. Please make sure that you have followed Create URL Providers section in the install guide to set the temporary directory path.
thank you for your reply. it is not issues with pega Temp directory . we have created pega temp directory URL provider and temp files going as expected into destination folder - we have created like this /app/projectname/temp
all temp files going there.
in 717 apart from above, we have configured another temp directory for extractedFiles directory - where we were using JVM argument and in that we have given new location and directories were exist also. When we have different clusters in same Linux environment if everything using same location for extreacedFiles at any given point of time only one server is came up in 717. So to avoid that situation we created another directory name called /app/projectnama/tempsoa and extractedFiles directory location is working for 717 servers. but we noticed it is not happening for 722 .
