Adaptive Model Performance Setting
This question is with regard to the field labeled "Monitor performance for the last 0 weighted responses" in an adaptive model settings tab.
What is the effect of leaving this value at zero? Will this monitor performance for all responses?
Hi Cheri,
Yes, that basically is what it will do. With 0 all responses are weighted equally.
If you would set it to a different value, then the performance impact of previous responses is down-weighted with every new response. This gives an exponential decay of the weight of the responses, like shown below.
If you would use multiple adaptive model configurations in a single decision strategy with different values for the response window, you could use this performance window to make sure the performances of these different configurations are weighted equally. However this is a rather exceptional use case, the setting is usually kept at its default value of 0.
Hope this helps
