We want to migrate AES 3.5 to AES 7.1 supporting 40+ Pegaa pplications. For AES 3.5 we have Pega 6 along with IBM WAS and Oracle DB.We are planning to host AES 7.1 on Pega 7 with JBoss EAP 6 and SQL server.
Has anyone done this migration before or has existing AES 7.1 running on JBoss+SQL?
Have you seen any challenges in migration?
Is there any impact on performance or user experience?
Are there any features on Jboss+SQL that are not supported when compared to WAS+Oracle?
Could you please let us know the exact version of PRPC, if its 7.1.7 onwards, You should think of upgrading to AES 717 instead of AES 7.1. Now we also have AES 7.2 but that will be good if PRPC version is 7.2 onwards.
I don't think you will face any challenges, infact now its much more easy for AES 7.1.7 onwards. Now you have Predictive Diagnostic Landing page from PRPC 7.1.7 onwards and you have to just update the AES server URL instead of updating the prlogging.xml file with SOAP appenders for alerts and exceptions.
