Application Bar Owner Window
I am working with Pega Robotics Studio Plug-in version 8.0.2032.0 and Visual Studio 2015 Professional on Windows 10. I have a web adapter that uses an application bar as a user interface and progress tracking. How do I make the browser window the owner of the application bar to prevent having to move the application bar in a multiple display workstation?
For example, I have two displays. On one monitor, I am running visual studio and my browser window will open on the other monitor when I click play to begin debugging. The application bar always loads to display number 1 and IE opens on display 2. I would like the application bar to open on the same display as IE.
There's not an easy way to do this. If someone has one, they can post an example, but it will take some C#. Once you move an AppBar, you need to reclaim that desktop space, or it will basically be unavailable for other apps to use until the app bar is re-positioned there or the user logs out. In an automation, you'd have to hide it first and then change it's location, but I am not sure how that would work with it being docked.
I would instead try to move the IE window to the App Bar screen as that would be easier to do. You could just set the location property of the IE Window form somewhere on the screen with the App Bar.
You can use a Tabbed-Reparent Container to place an adapter inside your Windows form (or App Bar in this case). That is probably not exactly what you want, but does make it possible to organize your adapters.
