We have a problem with one of the JS we found online for validations while using autocomplete. It does work to some point but when we try it in mobile(smartphone)mode, we cannot select any value for the autocomplete property after selecting the filtered options.
Does anyone know how to fix this for this situation?
Thank you looking into this, we are using the autocomplete validation where it does not allow random inputs that does not exist in a data page record. We found this validation in the Pega community post from Sushanth K's reply below. Note that we are using the most current version of Pega and the validation does not work when using the ENTER key and also does not work at all in Mobile UI. I think the problem with the script is that, it is not correctly referencing what was selected after filtering the results so it is not able to validate the reference the data page records. After testing a bit, it also looks like the reference validation is only hitting the 1st(top) result out of the filtered list, so for it to work, you would have to type in the exact information and the filter results has to be 1(meaning exact information has to be typed in the autocomplete property). Also the only way for the validation to work(with partial input) is, if you manually clicked on the filtered results. Other than that it does not work.
