Basics of running a unit test case - read from excel and write into excel for test case evidence
There is reference test case <TestCaseForReference.xlsx> from where the description,expected are to be referred. Based on this template, the output excel needs to be created <SampleTestCaseResult_Openspan.xlsx>. The actuals column needs to be formed based on the expected and the realtime values in appropriate places as needed.
I followed the Excel how to. But I am unable to infer the context of using this tutorial in my scenario.
The Excel How To is a demonstration of how to do some common things that involve management of a workbook. What you are talking about is really just open 2 spreadsheets using 2 connectors and then process the single sheet in one and write to the single sheet in the other. For that you can use the standard connector methods (GetCellValue, SetCellValue).
I created a automation to read from the excel and it works.I read Emp names from the first column and finds the phone No from the CRM web site and write it to the 2nd column.The reading work but the writing doesn't can you please provide an example for this scenario? I was looking for an answer for couple of weeks, posted the question on PDN and only answer everybody gave me was your "Excel How To". I am trying to get the row proxy we are currently working on in the loop and trying to change the Proxy.I just hard corded the cell here to see any change of the excel.The automation doesn't give any error but I cant see any changes on the excel(Nothing gets written). Here I have attached the automations.
