Can the PegaCHAT be installed and utilized without CPM/PegaCS framework?
We are working in a RFP where we have a requirement to implement chat capability within the application. Following is the high level requirement
– Support User Chat feature
o A user logs in to Application
o The user decides they need help
o The user selects chat icon
o The system validates the user
o The system puts the user in queue
o A support user accepts the chat session
We are thinking of PegaCHAT but we learnt that it works only with CPM/PegaCS framework. We have following questions-
1. Can the PegaCHAT be installed and utilized without CPM/PegaCS framework?
2. Is there any other CHAT solution that can meet above requirement?
Hi there - unfortunately, PegaCHAT currently requires PegaCS. We're working on a standalone solution, but have not determined a release date for it yet. There's no chat solution internal to Pega that meets this requirement aside from PegaCHAT. Let me know if you have any other questions!
