I believe the issue is that the Application explorer is not functioning properly. Logging out and then logging back in could solve this. The error message shown indicates that no "Key" has been defined on the class rule any instances would belong to... My understanding was that you would need to use RDB- methods in order to access external databases without the required Pega properties defined, not Obj- methods.
