There are various career paths a person can take after being a LSA for 3-5 years. Generally when one starts out as an LSA they are assigned to smaller projects.
If wanting to remain in a technical role, various companies offer a “Principal Architect” role. In that role a person’s responsibilities are larger, meaning either leading larger projects or assisting multiple smaller projects.
There is also the possibility for an LSA to transition into a management role. In that role a person’s responsibilities would be overseeing the delivery of the entire project, i.e., both the business side as well as the technical side. The title for such a role could be “Engagement Lead” or “Project Manager”.
In either role, one’s career would benefit by staying abreast of the latest technologies incorporated in Pega’s software such as AI, robotics, dev ops, etc.
