Change the class mapping to another db
I'm using Pega 7.1.7 and I have got an existing application running. I have got few tables whose space has increased eventually should be mapped to some other db. Class A mapped to Table T in Database D1 and did the following -
1. I have created exact replica of Table T in Database D2, by etracting the table and indexes scripts etc. of Table T from Database D1
2. In SysAdmin -> Database Table changed the mapping to the new Database D2 and table T
3. Restarted the server
When I do a test connectivity it throws an errors - the class A is mapped to table T of Database D2, which doesn't exist.
I remember doing the above multiple times but don't know whats missing.
Yes it is an external db and yes I implemented steps 1 & 2. Infact the new database where I'm poiting to already exists and is in use. In the database table class mapping the class is visible with database name as D2 but when I open it, there is an error marked at the table name (screenshot attached for reference). And if I want to create a new database class mapping this table in the database D2 is not shown in the drop down.
