Chordiant Marketing Director: Segment able to retrieve records but campaign reflects as no records.
I encountered a strange issue. When running the segment, I am able to see the subscribers. However, when I am executing the campaign, it is reflecting in the audit log as no outbound records Please see the attached for the screen shot.
We suspect that the reason for campaign resulting in no outbound records is that there were no records found ( or not matching) based on “fields in the Extract template” with respect to “segment criteria”, even though the segment returns records on execution.
To overcome this issue, at least one column from each table included in the Extract Template has to be added as a stored field in the segment.
In a Segment, where the criteria is PERS.xxxx_URN < 100, data is fetched from the PERSONS table. When executing the Segment some records might be fetched. However, if an Extract template is created, where a field say, Purchase_Date, from Purchase table (another table) is used, when checked for the relation between Purchase and xxxx_URN, it can be observed that there will be no URN (<100) who have made any purchase. With the above data, if a campaign is run, it will run successfully but with no records written into the output file.
To overcome this issue, the segment has to be added with an additional stored field i.e., Purchase_Date, from Purchase table.
