on-click events/refresh sections in the UI is causing empty space between section buttons and harness buttons in non-IE browser
on-click events in the UI is causing empty space between section buttons and harness buttons in non-IE browser. For example, click of a radio-button in one the upper sections causes to hide the elements in the below sections of that radio-button. When this happens, the gap between the section and the harness is filled with empty space. This happens only in non-IE browsers (FF & Chrome). Using 6.3 sp1

Can you check if anything is added in DOM? i.e which element is adding that space.
As you mentioned that issue is in non-IE browsers, verify that it the space added is your lower section only and rather than display:none, visibility:hidden is added in CSS. As Visibility:hidden will not remove the space but hide the elements.
Please share screen shots of initial screen and DOM of the space added along with CSS after clicking on the radio button.
