In our organization we have more than 250 email listeners and 100 agents in the same infra structure so it is very difficult to monitor the listeners using sma. During server maintenance starting all requestors delays the server startup as well.
Appreciate if you can suggest me how we can customize the sma or make use of the mdb output in our customized grid view .
We tried aes but it is consuming lot of cpu and db resources so we are looking into customized view with sma beans.
Are these Email Listeners and Agents not on a separate Pega node than the one that serves web requests? If not, making that change will help with server startup and also present you with more organized view on SMA. Having a custom view of Agents and Listeners via SMA is a great idea when it comes to managing large number of Async processes but that will have to be done via a product enhancement. You may also want to explore the possibility of building your own JMX client. These are the type of projects that we as a community need to start exploring.
