Difference between embedded cluster and client server cluster

Hazelcast is embedded cluster while Ignite was a client-server cluster. I understand Ignite is deprecated as of 8.1, but for learning purpose I want to clarify the exact difference on topology.

In my understanding, embedded cluster means Hazelcast stays on the same server as Pega node while client-server cluster means Ignite servers would be physically separated from Pega nodes as below screenshot. Am I right? If so, which nodes does load balancer need to distribute web requests to? Pega nodes or Ignite server nodes?

Topology

If anyone can share diagram, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
