Hi guys. We implemented the scenario when user have a list of text conditions to choose from in Modal window and there is a search field to provide the specific search string, and the "Search" button for it. The user wants the Enter Key to work the same way as "Search" button as currently, when they press "Enter", the Modal window gets closed. I tried to modify the behavior of Enter Key, however I think the rules associated with it, are final. Hence I considered to disable it and used the following code I found on PDN (in UserWorkForm function):
Hi Sai. Thank you for your quick response. I've already tried to mimic the Search button behavior on Enter Key, it doesn't work. The strange thing is that after I implemented the script, it was working fine and we have two similar places with the search in Modal window and after awhile it is still working fine in one place (nothing happens when Enter Key pressed) and it closes the Modal window for the second occasion via executing SubmitModalFlowAction activity. Any idea?
Hi Sai. I implemented your advised approach and it works fine (I just changed the message), however I'm wondering why this message doesn't appear on the second location of Search in the another modal window, I assumed it should work identical, do you have any idea?
The message in your script was changed to the message that user needs to see, like "Please use Search button instead" and I implemented your code in both cases and it works identical now. Thank you for your help.
