Error in Report Scheduling When operators leave the Company
Scheduled reports stop working when a user that was scheduled to receive the report leaves the company and no longer exists on the operator table. The report stops working when we received this error, but when we click on the error all that pops up is the PRruntime error.
We can schedule to trigger a report to multiple operators in prpc .If one operator doesn't exist in the operator table(if he leaves the company) , I think it should ideally trigger to other operators with no error .
Can you elaborate on what do you mean by report stops working ? Is it that it hasn't been running ?
If that is the case, can you please check the scheduled entry(PX-ST-**) in the brokenqueue items from SMA and put the error message here ? Try requeing it aswell .
Also please do check if deleting and rescheduling the report works ?
Also please try removing that operator(who has left the company) from the 'Send Notifications to following users' section of scheduling the report and check if it works .
We need to seggregate the entire operation in few parts.
1. You crate a report which is supposed to show some data
2. You schedule the report so that it runs in a particular time of a day or week or month
3. You have defined some recepient for the schedule email as well.
4. Now, ScheduledTaskProcess agent takes care of scheduling and running the report on time and send the data accordingly.
Now as per your query, one of the receipient left organization and that is causing the report to fail.
So where the report is getting failed ? Is it not sending the email at all or is it not generating the report ?
What if you check the scheduled task tab from Reporting landing page ? Are you able to see any entry and if yes then are you able to run the report schedule manually from there ? Is it sending the mail correctly ?
