Event Trigger cause "Error deserializing Design Component"
Using a custom DLL for background work. The work runs on a BackgroundWorker object and fires an event "TasksAvailable" when complete. When I include the event into an automation, I get an error box saying "Error deserializing Design Component - NewArFound" , "Key cannot be null." "Parameter name:key".
The event is not triggered. Sample C# code seems to run fine, but the robotic automation fails.. below is a screen shot with error message, .os, and the C# event trigger. Must be missing something?
OpenSpan might be treating the object as one that requires a key; you can try pushing a key to it as a property. If that doesn't work I still suggest the try-catch. With the try-catch if you're able to run without problem it might be an ignorable issue.
Thanks, I'll start reading through the articles. The challenge with attempting to add the try/catch is where to add it? In the sample, adding a try/catch does nothing as its after the event which isn't firing. Because it's a global event, I'm not sure where the error is being triggered from. Very annoying...
