I have a requirement to show a grid with few records. The row would be of type "Expanded rows" to show additional information. Based on certain condition i have to expand a row when the grid is loaded. I do not see any option to control the expanding and collapsing of individual row. Is there any way to control the expansion of the individual rows?
I know this conditionalized expansion exists on collapsible header bars for layouts.
But if you are talking about expand panes within a grid, I do not believe this feature exists. Not that I found anyways.
So if you don't necessarily need a grid, they you could use the option above. If you do need a grid, you might be able to hack it a bit, by using a section include, and having that section contain the collapsible header.
Not sure if it will work, as I have not tried it. (It won't be the expand pane flow action anymore though.)
We'll need an SME from the UI product teams to confirm if this feature exists or if this would be an enhancement. (Unless someone else knows for sure)
That's a great idea but i dont think that would work for us.
I was wondering , pega OOTB gives the expand collapse icon. It should have been handled based on a condition by firing an event. how is this being handle and is there a way to control this without writing any custom control.
You may set the "pyExpanded" property to true, for whichever rows you want to expend. For a reference, you may visit the UI Gallery-> Expand Pane-> Expand Multiple rows example. In the pre-activity of the flow action, you may conditionally set the above mentioned property to true(for all the required rows).
Please try the suggested solution and get back to us with the outcome.
