Question
Extending Guardrails for Customization
Hi,
We are thinking of extending guardrails and customize it for our needs.
We have list of scenarios for which we want the guardrails to be extended.
I went thru some PDN articles as mentioned below:
https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/guided-development-through-guardrails#custom
https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/how-create-rule-warning
But, however, we would like to use this for a little more extensive purpose, such as naming conventions or to check the different access groups.
Is this a possibility? Can guardrails be extended and used for such scenarios / purposes ?
Thanks and Regards
Kiran

The guardrail warnings would allow the rule to be created and then display the warning. Since you mentioned naming conventions, it seems you may be interesting in adding these checks so developers cannot create the rule unless it meets certain criteria. In that case, you may want to look at using the PreSave activity.
