The question therefore now is: 1. Is section 'Case creation settings' only applicable when checkbox 'Creates a new work object' is checked? If checkbox 'Creates a new work object' is UnChecked, then will the flow work have different functionality when checkbox 'Temporary object' is Checked versus UnChecked? 2. Our client env is on the same version as the VM from pega academy. Why does the 'Case creation settings' toggle with checkbox selection in the client env but not in the exercise system? Both are 'Pega CRM 7.22 on Pega 7.2.2'

1.The section 'Case creation settings' appears if this flow is listed as a starting flow on a Case Type form, or the "Creates a new work object?" check box is selected, Does not appear for screen flows.
If the checkbox 'Temporary object' is Checked, temporary object is created which does not have a pzInsKey and cannot be saved into database, whereas when unchecked 'Temporary object ' checkbox work object with pzInsKey gets created.
2. As said above, 'Case creation settings' appears if this flow is listed as a starting flow on a Case Type form. so in case of exercise system, this flow might be listed as a starting processes in case type rule.
Thanks vineetha, In all cases I mentioned (client and exercise system) it's a flow created standalone, no case type rules defined.
1. I understand if 'Creates a new work object' and 'Temporary object' are BOTH checked, it will create temporary object.
However, if 'Creates a new work object' is Un-Checked and 'Temporary object' checked, will it still create temporary object?
2. In both cases, in client env and excercise system, there's no case type rule defined. It's a standalone flow rule. In client env, the 'Case creation settings' visibility changes with 'Creates a new work object' checkbox status, whereas, in the exercise system, it doesn't.
