Formatting a date property in a correspondence
I am attempting to format a correspondence property to be in the format of DD MONTH, YYYY (01 January, 2001. I suspect I need to add the @DateTimeFormat something in the fashion of @FormatDateTime(.PTORequest.PTORequestEndDate, "MM/dd/YYYY", null, null) from the "Source" but it is not resolving correctly. What is the best way to go about achieving this functionality. Creating a custom control is throwing a Java error.
Thank you very much for the response I have tried creating a custom Format but it is not formatting the date correctly. As you can see from the screenshot of the email I have the date in there 2 times 1 time using my custom format and another using the OOTB "Date" format. I do get a different format but it is not the one I have declared in my custom formatting. Any suggestions?
TESTING THIS LINE>>>>>>> - <pega:reference format="CorrespondenceDateFormat" name=".PTORequest.PTORequestEndDate"></pega:reference> <br />

You can cross check with any existing date formats which are available in the drop down list of the format and make sure whether its being applied into the correspondence. If the existing formats works, then probably you can try to save as the closest format and modify its code to your format going forward.
