Host id got changed after one deployment. We did few deployments before but the host id was fine. After last deployment, it got changed. I have checked one support article and fix this issue by changing the value of Indexing/HostID DSS. Can you please let me know why this host id got modified after the deployment?
Could you please elaborate what you mean by Host ID got changed? Is the value in the property "pxSystemNodeID" in "pxProcess" page changed?
indexing/hostid is used only for full text search and can be set from the search landing page. The value identifies the node which is handling all the search requests. If the node (application server instance) is the same but this value of of pxSystemNodeID property has changed, then you must change the value in the search landing page to appropriately reflect it.
Note that pxSystemNodeID is a hash of the host name where the app server is running, the Pega temp directory path and the system name. If any of the 3 values change, then the pxSystemNodeID value will change.
Yes the value of "pxSystemNodeID" got changed. I have modified the value using Indexing/HostID DSS to fix this issue. We have modified the file path of prpcj2ee.ear file. This is the only change we did. Do you think Pega temp directory path can be affected due to this?
