The thread you have refereed is not talking about the problem of SHOW PROPERTY NOT Working .Correct me if am wrong.
For me the asynch request is posting the form ,calling the activity ,activity is executed .The show property methos is not sending back the params /response to the browser runtime .Since it is firefox itis not working.
This runtime param to the browser returns the result count from a RDB list.
This count is shown once the button is clicked Asking user to confirm further action.
Alternative solution tried.
I tried setting a embedded property on the same section where the button is present. The property was reffering to a clipboard value.
Initially when the section was loaded the clipboard page property was null.
Onbutton click the script to execute the activity called with show property to pass back the params.
Alert used to find the hidden element id.The alert show the value when the screen was initially rendered instead oft he result count.
So i added the section refresh after the button click .this time the actviity was executed ,set the value to the clipbaord page which is referenced by the hidden prop but this time when the section was refrehsed ,the ckipboard value was over ridden with the initil value when it was rendered.
I wanted to know why the SHOW PROPERTY DOESNT WORK IN FIREFOX ?
Thanks for trying this ,this is not working in the Pega 62 sp2 version.Good to know that it works on Pega 7.
The same functionality works in IE and Chrome
The below is the function where the return param(updated value) used in the script without refreshing the Section/Harness .designed for IE,for firefox we are suing the asynchrequest instead of httpRequestAsynch
The below script works in IE ONLY (Use asynchrequest for firefox)
