how to add xpath to identify the objects in Pega robotics studios 10.80 version
Can you please help me, how can i use xpaths as object locator in open span. I have tried all match rules, facing different issues with different objects.
1. I have a input inside a <td>. i am able to inspect it, but openspan is not adding any properties of it not sure why .I have tried adding matching rules as this input has id and unique name too but did not work
2. The objects can be identified only with the sibling/parent/ancestor id, object itself does not have any unique property, even for these kind of scenario i guess xpath is best solution,
can someone please help? Attached is the screenshot of 1st point.
It seems you have deleted the default match rules. I would delete that control and re-interrogate. The control seems to have a name you could match on. The ID does not seem to be reliable (although I can't tell without access to the app), so you will need to disable UseElementID. XPath is not how match rules work. There is hierarchy in the way controls are added, so if you use the Select Element method you can add items as a container to include hierarchy if needed. I really don't understand your full question, so if this is unclear, perhaps you can add some clarification.
I have not deleted any matching rules, have attached one more screenshot where you can see, for once it does highlight the object too without adding any properties of it. and Can you please tell me that How can i use the Select element method to add item as container and to parse over hierarchy.
My another question is related to non unique objects. for eg. i want to add 2nd table under a div element(with unique id), the whole html has the similar structure with unique div ids. In this case how can this table objects to open span. As in selenium we do use xpath to parse the html through siblings and Parents, how can we achieve same in open span?
