How to close a case set to Scheduled Followup

I have several cases that we set to "Schedule Followup". The cases have been resolved, however I am unable to close the cases. After changing the Case Action to "Close" and adding my notes, it will not allow it close because it wants a disposition. However it will not give the "Disposition" drop down.
