Let's say, you did a fresh installation and the operator id firstname.lastname@example.org password has been changed and you forgot the password. So, how do you reset/crack it's password or what are the options you follow to get into the environment? Do not stay re-install...:-) :-)
I don't think it's possible to create an operator from outside of PRPC. The first major hurdle that comes to mind is that you would have data that would need to be in the blob. Can you go into a little detail about why you want to do this? There may be another way to solve your business problem.
I did a fresh installation setup and you know the default operator id is email@example.com/install . So I have changed it's password without creating a new operator id for me and I forgot what password did I change. So how do I get into this new environment? How can I reset firstname.lastname@example.org password?...
There is no way you can reset password for default operator "email@example.com". How were you able to modify the password for operator "firstname.lastname@example.org" in the first place? PRPC should restrict you from doing it:
The tricky thing with the obj-browse-change-it idea is that the password is encoded, so a bit of care must be taken to figure out what to change it to. Maybe looking at the encoded password for another operator id that we assume still has a password of “install” would help if same encoding is copied into the target operator id ? I guess that depends on whether it is a time or context-sensitive encryption. /Eric
