How do I display different smart tip messages when hovering over each radio button option in the same cell?
Is there an OOTB way for me to have multiple smart tip display message for each radio button option when hovering over them? I have attached a screen shot to show the basic idea.
Right now, I can only show one message because the basic conditions apply to the overall cell not the individual radio button options, at least as far as I can tell. Is there a way to get the ID of the radio button when hovering over it? I was thinking of using a when rule with this, but I'm not sure if that is possible. I have seen threads using older PEGA versions showing they had to go into the HTML/CSS, but are there other options?
I don't think there is a straight forward or OOTB solution for this. Outside of custom code, I think you might be able to take advantage and combine a couple different features to achieve this.
On paper, if you configure a smart tip on hover, and then supply a parameterized field value or message rule, I could theoretically see this potentially working, if you have some sort of property value to pass that could serve as your differentiating label.
agreed there is no OOTB option at that moment. In the context of your second part the radio button belongs to the same property. for say if i've two option yes/no in that case both mapped with one property only. now if some one want to show two different msg for yes/no how to do.
yes agreed with you that we can create one new control & do some custom coding there but still it's a very common user requirement. should not pega provide that type of control. as your from GCS team so just asking, any plan to add that in higher version release.
