How to expose flows and existing rules as a REST service?

I'm currently in Pega 7.1.5, and have questions related to building the REST Services.

1) I do not see any wizard available OOB for exposing the flows or exisiting rules as a REST Service.

  • Why is this feature not available?
  • Would this be available in the future versions of Pega? If Yes, when and which version?

I am looking for something similar to : https://pdn.pega.com/support-articles/how-expose-flows-soap-services

2) Since the wizard is not available, it has to be a manual effort as we have to create all of the required rules. Is there an easier and faster way to expose flows or existing rules as a service? For instance, generating the HTTP services and modifying the generated rules to serve REST. Any thoughts or ideas.
