I would like to know the steps/approaches to implement custom email listener. Our organization doesn't support IMAP/POP3 and we are looking for implementation with EWS. Can anyone please share any prior experience with implementation with EWS.
One approach we were thinking is implementing an agent which will invoke a service to poll the new emails and then process the email in the agent activity. Will there be any flaws in that? How Pega achieves forwarding the unprocessed emails ? Is it just through SMTP ?
Pega Sales Automation has a plug-in for Microsoft Exchange. It will be great if someone from that engineering team can comment on this.
