Unfortunately for old cases, you probably need to write custom activity to move the case out of the Pega database tables: here are some ideas: https://community1.pega.com/community/pega-product-support/question/how-handle-old-attachment-dataattach-table-after-pega-filenet In terms of performance, I am aware of several production clients with no reported issues. Obviously you should perform your own assessment once you implement CMIS versus the current DB based attachments.
