How to improve system retries when there is a DB failover
We are using SQL 2014 as our backend DB with Pega 7.2.2. Whenever there is any DB failover, though the DB recovers in few seconds, I have seen Pega taking more time (5-10) mins to recover. Can you let me know how can we improve retries from Pega so that it can recover at a faster rate whenever there is any DB failovers?
during every failover of the DB, I see Pega is taking more time to recover (around 5-10) mins which is way too long. I need know if there is any configuration or setting that can speed up the time for Pega to recover quickly.
After DB recovers in few seconds are you able to connect to database and able to fetch the data. I hope it will take time. Is pega application automatically connecting to the database or you are restarting the application server ?
Yes, Pega will be able to recover automatically and is able to fetch data. I am not restarting application servers. Practically I know that it is taking time but 5-10 mins is way too long. I just want to know on how can we speed up this auto recover process
Is it database taking time to start up or pega application is taking time to connect ?. Please verify after restart of the database, connect to database from client application and execute the queries. Observer weather the database is behaving as expected.
