How to insert records in New Declare Index table for Old Cases/work objects?

Thanks in advance.

For reporting purpose, we are introducing declare index with new index table. It is inserting records when case is updated.

However the old cases are not inserted in this new table as the cases will never updated. We are looking for a solution to insert all old cases in the index table. I read the documentation about Column populate utility will populating exposed columns of a case i.e Case/work object to Work table.

Please share your thoughts on how to populate old case data in new declare index table.
