Along with my colleague suggestion, if you are in Pega 7.2.1+ then you can also try with expose feature in prpcServiceUtils utility. You can go through this discussion where it has been already discussed.

Adding to my colleague, you can also use System Management API's from the Designer Studio to expose the columns. As Mahesh as already explained that it will just populate the data from blob to the particluar column, you need to create columns manually into the DB.
