How to stop creation of Manifest files from BIX process
We always get Manifest file along with XML output file from the BIX process. Can you please let us know how to stop creating this file.? Is there any value to create this file? Any useful information in this file?
Manifest files are used to give summary of the extract.
As per BIX help below are the details
Create a manifest
Select the Include manifest check box to create a manifest, or summary statement, of the records extracted. You can create the manifest in the file format of your choice, independent of the output format that you selected for the actual extract.
So try to uncheck the check box and run the extract.
I'm not sure what you mean by "many rules were created by enabling the manifest check box". What rules are you referring to?
If you're running BIX from command line, you're either using -I (using an extract specified in an XML file) or -i (specifying extract rule(s) in the PegaRULES database to call). If you're using the first option and are specifying an XML file, you'll need to update the rule form to disable the manifest file from being created and then save it as an XML file and reference that when running BIX from command line. If you're using -i, then just updating the rule form and saving it should suffice.
If you're running BIX on the cloud, I believe the file is created by default and I don't believe there is a way to change that (the rule form is different when the application is configured to run on the cloud). I wanted to add that in case you couldn't find the check box and were wondering what Shanthini was referring to. :)
